You know what dragons really love? Tacos of course! In Dragons Love Tacos, opening at Adventure Theatre this weekend, a boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa…watch out!
Based on the bestselling children’s book, the story has been adapted for the stage to create a lively production that is sure to delight audiences of all ages. Even more, you have a chance to win tickets to see it — enter the giveaway below!
Not only will the show entertain, it’ll also give back. An official Dragons Love Tacos dragon plushie will be available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Glen Echo Volunteer Fire Department, an emergency response organization in Bethesda. Adventure Theatre is partnering with local fire safety for the duration of Dragons Love Tacos, supporting department volunteers who train for, intervene in, and mitigate medical, fire, and rescue emergencies, while also building community.
And Girl Scouts take note: Adventure Theatre MTC offers exclusive scout patches for select productions! They’re included with the cost of a group ticket purchase — just bring a group of 10 or more (siblings and parents count, too!) and you’re all set to earn your patches. Learn more here.
