As summer winds down, so does the season of outdoor swimming at DC’s public pools. The DC Department of Recreation has already closed some it’s outdoor facilities, and the rest will follow suit in the next few weeks.
See below for the schedule of pool closings. For locations and hours for pools that are still open, visit the DC DPR website. And if you have heard of any unlisted changes (which has occurred before) please feel free to note them in the comments section.
Also of note: Wilson Aquatic Center, an indoor facility, is closed temporarily for required yearly maintenance from August 23 – September 14. More information is available here.
These pools are closed for the season:

– Kelly Miller
– Langdon Park
– Randall
– Benning Park
– Fort Dupont
– Oxen Run
These pools will close on August 29:
– Douglass
– Fort Stanton
– Harry Thomas, Sr.
– Theodore Hagans, Jr.
These pools will close on September 6:
– Anacostia
– Banneker
– Francis Pool
– Jellef
– Ushur
– Volta Park
East Potomac Pool will close October 17.
