Celebrate World Architecture Day at one of the most interesting buildings in the city
1. Tomorrow, October 4, bring little ones to celebrate the Hirshhorn’s birthday and World Architecture Day at a special storytime program! Explore the Plaza with the museum’s very own architecture expert Deane Madsen, then enjoy a read-aloud of the beloved children’s book Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty. After that, investigate the Hirshhorn building through hands-on construction activities and play. The session runs 10-11am, and admission is free.
2. Looking for places and activities to enjoy the season that are not fall festivals? Here are 10 recommendations!
3. In case you missed them, there are a couple of new, timely posts from KFDC Contributor Emily Moise: Cute Halloween finds on Amazon and a round-up of ropes courses around the DC area.
4. This family board game sounds super fun, and it has great reviews.
5. So many fantastic recommendations for reading, watching, and listening!
