Sure, the cookies rock, but how about a healthy, active, fun way to support a Girl Scout? Komi Tinkelman is a local Senior Girl Scout working on her Gold Award, the highest decoration a member of the organization can earn. To achieve this, she’s holding a special skating event for families next weekend.
On Saturday, April 30, kids ages 6-10 are invited to attend Let’s Move! Learn to Skate!, where they can enjoy an interactive lesson in healthy habits, watch a figure skating exhibition, and get lesson in ice skating themselves. This will all take place at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel from 2-5pm.
There is no charge for admission, but Nomi will be accepting donations to cover the costs. For more information and to register, email Nomi at skatingevent1@gmail.com.
