See some exhibits, tour local landmarks, enjoy live entertainment… all of it showcasing women and their accomplishments. This post has details on where you can do that this month — and beyond!
First Saturday
Where: National Gallery of Art | National Mall, DC
When: Saturday, 10am – 3pm

Join the National Gallery of Art for their monthly program, a special day-long affair with multiple free programs for kids of all ages and adults. Kids can activate their imaginations in the sketching lab, enjoy storytime, get their faces painted, and try children’s yoga. Adults will enjoy a sneak peek into new acquisitions at 12pm, a gallery talk about women artists at 2pm, and everyone can do some drop-in artmaking inspired by artist Mary Cassatt.
Holi Festival
Where: Dupont Circle Park, DC
When: Saturday, 12-4pm

Join the Indian Embassy to celebrate the Holi, India’s most colorful holiday,in Dupont Circle Park, complete with traditional dancers , powder, and a live DJ. Festivities begin with upbeat Indian music spun by DJ Pandu, followed by Indian cultural dancing. Masala chai and traditional sweets will fuel the festivities.FRom 2-4pm, the event will erupt into a huge party featuring music, dancing, and powder throwing. (Powder will be available to purchase ahead of time via the Eventbrite link.)
Harlem Globetrotters

Women’s History Month: Native Women Leading the Way
