ON STAGE NOW
Little Red Riding Hood “explodes with Louisiana zest” (Washington Post)! Join the heroine for a musical Mardi Gras chase through the bayou in Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood, now at Imagination Stage in Bethesda.
The story updates the classic tale, sending Petite Rouge (Little Red) Riding Hood, a red-robed duckling, and her ‘fraidy cat friend, TeJean, on a comical journey to Grandmere’s house. Along the way, they tangle with Claude, the Big Bad Gator. A chorus of swamp dwellers sings backup to the Zydeco-driven score in this foot-stomping musical. Everyone will be dancing in their seats. CLASSES
In addition to award winning professional theatre, Imagination Stages provides quality, year-round education in acting, musical theatre, dance, and filmmaking in an inclusive and welcoming environment. They provide equitable access to all programming, from added inclusion supports to peer-group access classes in order to provide the most successful experience for each student.
Whether your student has taken classes before or is completely new to theatre, this is a great opportunity to make new friends and memories! 6- and 14-week classes start on January 21.

Students in grades 7-12 also have the opportunity to be part of the IStage Performance Ensemble (ISPE’s) winter production, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. ISPE is Imagination Stage’s most advanced performance ensemble, providing teen actors the opportunity to perform supported with professionally designed costumes, lights, scenery, and props.
