  1. My favorite Christmas activity is my families advent calendar. Each day brings a new activity that we do together as a family. It focuses our attention on what matters most during the hustle and bustle of the season – family!

My favorite Xmas (as an adult) was the last one, in my home country (SUMMER!) and with all my siblings, parents, nieces and nephews!

  3. Netta Carroll

My favorite Xmas was win I was 16. I got my surprise items. My yellow circular (banana) phone, full size teddy bear and non-alcohol wine, hahaha. I was happy camper. I’m 50 now and still have that teddy bear, lolol.

My favorite Christmas was the year we spent it in Nashville. We don’t take family vacations often; it was a treat being there during a beautiful December in TN!

My favorite Christmas would be shortly after our second son was born and my older son was 2 and a half. To see the joy in their eyes as they saw the lights on the tree was just magical.

My sons are 9 and 6 and our favorite christmas activity in DC is ice skating at canal park, getting hot chocolate and then singing Christmas carols with a neighborhood group for people living in a retirement home.

In truth, every Christmas is my favorite. Perhaps the most memorable one was last year when my son finally figured out what was happening. Seeing Christmas through his eyes made me remember the joy I felt as a child.

My favorite Christmas is being together with my family. My daughter loves to setup the christmas tree, singing carols, and having a nice dinner. December is a special time for all of us, especially with two birthdays to celebrate and Christmas.

My favorite Christmas was purely accidental. My family chose to travel to mark the holiday. All had been carefully planned ahead of time down to the last detail. And we all had a vivid image of what our Christmas was going to be like.

Something unexpected happened, however and in an instant all the planning and careful forethought flew out the window and we were forced to improvise. What was interesting is that this forced my family to be present, in the moment and to truly embrace the spirit of the season. We were closer to each other than ever. We ate an improvised meal in the hotel room, we had no luggage with us, so we went to a 7-Eleven and bought improvised gifts for each other with whatever cash we had with us. We simply enjoyed each other’s company, and I have never been happier with a holiday since then.
Maybe for next Christmas we could orchestrate a way to get lost on purpose…
