Do your kids want to take a swing at a new sport or hone their skills on the tennis court? A new camp coming to the DC area this summer will give them just those opportunities. Even better, you have a chance to win a weeklong session for your child to attend!
RDUTennis, LLC has already established itself as a leader in tennis instruction in North Carolina. The organization is the largest tennis management service in the Tarheel State, offering both youth and adult programs year-round. And now they are expanding north, partnering with American and Trinity Washington Universities here in DC this summer. Both venues will be offering tennis instruction from RDUTennis staff members, all of whom possess tremendous background and knowledge of the game.
American University camp will operate for two consecutive weeks as a half-day camp option from 9am – 1pm daily. Trinity Washington University camp will be operating for five weeks as a full or half-day camp option in weeklong sessions. Trinity Washington will serve as a tennis camp with other sports and amenities offered as a break from the courts.
For pricing, camp details, schedules, and registration, visit the RDU Tennis website. Inquires can be addressed to Brian Rosenthal at brian@rdutennis.net.

My daughter and I enjoy outside waterplay and now there are so many options in the dc area that it’s even harder to tire of it.
My kids love running through the sprinkler.
our favorite summer activity is swimming for sure and then going for ice cream cones! we also love to chase fireflies!
jess and carleigh
Having all day with the kids! No rushing to get to school, running around like crazy-sitting in pjs til ten and getting to go on relaxed outings (without having to put on an hour’s worth of layers!).
Swimming, in an outdoor pool. ah!
Our favorite summer activity is hitting all the the water parks in the area!
Swiming
Spending the whole day at the pool. Splashing, playing, jumping, diving and lounging!
Our favorite summer day: pancakes/waffles for breakfast; then hit the pool at our apartment complex; late lunch; then go to the playground to ride bicycles, jog and play tennis (I know!); a little ice cream; and then home for dinner and a movie!!!
ice cream after dinner!
I love to play outside until I’m really hot, then head to the pool to swim all afternoon! Or, if we’re at the beach, I love to splash in the water and let the waves knock me over! Kai, 6
we love hiking and exploring…taking pictures of flowers, birdwatching and spending time at the zoo with the animals.
Our family loves taking in a Nats game together in the summer . . . hopefully this summer, our kiddos will spend more time watching the game and less time on the playground at the stadium!
We love swimming with friends at the local pools, or hiking in the mountains nearby. Summer is a great time!
Going to the pool!
