grandsons_jr

How about some live entertainment from one of the area’s most popular kindie rock bands? the grandsons, Jr. are bringing their unique mix of rock, swing, New Orleans R&B, country, and latin music that they call Americana to Kensington this Saturday, January 10, and you have a chance to win a four-pack of tickets to see them!

The concert is presented by Junior Jams, a weekend live music series for kids and families brought to you by Kindiemusicdc and GIGS, a music instruction studio for young guitarists, vocalists, drummers and the like. Junior Jams promotes local artists and the independent kids music genre, booking shows and sharing a calendar of live music and other events for families in the Washington-Metro area. Check it out here or follow @kindiemusicdc on Twitter for regular updates.

We haven’t been to this venue or sent the artists above, but our daughter, 3, loves to rock out…everywhere, in the middle of restaurants, on the metro, with her microphone and instruments at home, etc. She has always loved music. When she was around a year old we started seeing Mr. Knick Knack and Rocknoceros. Thanks for this post and introducing us to mew music as well as venue and classes, checking it all out now. I know she’d love to win this!

To be honest, our daughter doesn’t have a favorite kindie rock artist yet, but she loves music and dancing. I’m so glad we stumbled onto this site and onto kindie music. Looking forward to watching her enjoy the tunes and further her love of rhythm! SO EXCITED!

My son loves Rainbow Rock Band!

My son is three so I don’t think he has a favorite kiddie band yet. He lsitens to the same music as us generally. He seems to like Hendrix and Cash. I wouldn’t mind taking him to this and seeing how he does.
