Two More Weeks to See ‘Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol’ at Adventure Theatre!

The Helen-Hayes Award Recommended Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol at Adventure Theatre MTC is in its final two weeks. Told from the perspective of Tiny Tim, this world-premiere production is a playful and imaginative take on the Dickens classic and a must-see for all ages.

With plenty of weekdays performances ahead, it’s a perfect activity to keep in mind for the kids as we head into Winter Break. And you can treat the family to a show on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day — there are performances scheduled on just about all of the holidays!

“Just when you thought you’ve seen the absolute final rendition of a Christmas Carol that you can take, another version pops up that’s irresistible —Tiny Tim’s is one of those. The show doesn’t get a much higher pedigree than a Feininger–Ludwig–Whiddon collaboration, and somehow, they’re all here and deliver the remarkable goods.”
– Debbie Jackson, DC Theatre Scene

Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol will be on stage at Adventure Theatre through January 1, 2015. There will be weekday and Sunday matinees at 11am and 2pm and Saturday shows at 11am, 2pm and 4:30pm. Upcoming holiday performances are at 11am and 2pm. Tickets are $19 and available for purchase online.

(Note: The 2pm show on Saturday, December 20th, is sensory friendly. These performances have been slightly adjusted for children with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and other sensitivity issues, but are also open to the general public. Adventure Theatre MTC has been creating Autism/Sensory-Friendly performances for over two years, and was able to share their knowledge for Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway.)

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Adventure Theatre MTC, however, I only promote events, activities, and programs that I truly believe in and/or think would appeal to KFDC readers.

I took my 4 year old to see this as the show is recommended for ages 4 and up. However, the show is not a musical, so she lost some interest as the show wore on. I think it’s a great show for older children.
