Hit the Dance Floor at Baby Loves Disco (and Enter to Win Tickets to Go!)

Baby Loves Disco, the beloved family dance party, is returning to DC for the first time in three years! U Street Music Hall will be its new home for monthly boogie bashes this fall, the first one happening on Sunday, September 15, with a Back to School event.

The party will resume in October with a Halloween bash when kids are encouraged to come in costume, then return again in November for a Pajama Party complete with late night snacks and a breakfast bar. December will bring a dance-a-thon supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a long standing partner of Baby Loves Disco.

The Baby Loves Disco events will feature their signature DJ and MC (who happens to be Owen’s teacher!) along with all kinds of creative fun. Face painting, tattoos, crafts, games, dance contests, kid-friendly spa services, and goody bags are all part of the admission fee, as are snacks for everyone. The MC will pump up the crowd and the DJ will spin G-rated dance tunes, while hundreds of parents, grandparents, and kids groove along and enjoy the party. These super-active events are aimed at families with kids ages 6 months to 7 years old.

All of the Discos open at 11am on September 15, October 27, November 24 and December 15. Tickets are $15 each for all walking humans, with family 4-pack pricing discounts. It’s highly recommended to purchase in advance online, as the dance floor tends to fill up fast.

And PS: The cash bar will be serving grown-up drinks, too!

Giveaway: Want a chance to win a Family 4-Pack of tickets to Baby Loves Disco? Simply leave a comment below telling me what you’re looking forward to doing with the kids this fall. To be eligible to win, you must like KidFriendly DC on Facebook. Earn an extra entry by following on Twitter (let me know that you did). The contest will run through the weekend, and a winner will be drawn at random. Good luck!

Top of our list for the Fall is apple picking. We missed last year and the kids were really disappointed. They have been asking to have it as a “must do” for Fall.

We love the wagon ride an Oxon Hill Farm (which we discovered thanks to your blog). Federal spending cuts have forced them to cut back on their public offerings. But we’re hoping that some of the animal feedings, cow milkings, and wagon rides return!!
