Theatre for the Very Young Returns to the Atlas with “Mouse on the Move” (Giveaway, Too!)

The Atlas Performing Arts Center is getting ready to kick off their 2012-13 season of Theatre for the Very Young, the series of programming geared toward children ages 1-5, with Mouse on the Move. The play presented by Imagination Stage will run at the Atlas from October 17 -22. Tickets are $8.

Mouse on the Move tells the story of Nellie and Amelia, two adventurous mice who are ready to explore the world beyond their little mouse-hole. They decide to go to the moon, since it is reportedly made of delicious, mouth-watering cheese. It’s a multi-sensory production with many opportunities for audience participation in the highly interactive play.

Giveaway: You have a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Mouse on the Move at the Atlas. Just leave a comment telling me what your favorite activity has been so far this fall. To be eligible, you must like KidFriendly DC on Facebook and follow on Twitter (let me know you did). A winner will be drawn at random later this week.  Good luck!

Loooooove your website! Thank you for putting so much effort into it, it is my weekly guide to having fun with my 4-year old. One of the most fun outing was to the Fort Washington Park and my son was amazed at all the canons at display. So many more ideas to follow up on. And I just “liked” you on fb too! I would be very interested in the kids play at Imagination stage, looks jsut great for little ones.

Just had a great time with my 14 month old on the Mall. Started off at the Museum of Natural History, where we were both fascinated by the live butterfly exhibit. She and I both also enjoyed the new special nature photography exhibit. It allowed her plenty of uncrowded room to run around and pictures that look like those in her current favorite book- Zooborns. And I was just amazed by the gorgeous photography. Then we walked over to the carousel for the first ride for both of us. Absolute blast. Also- just followed you on twitter!

Thanks so much for all the time and energy you put into your site; it is a great source of inspiration and ideas! I’ve really been enjoying the beautiful fall days with my 20-month-old daughter, but I think my favorite outing so far has been visiting the gardens at Dumbarton Oaks on Museum Day with some friends and their kids — definitely recommend it.
