Whether or not you live in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of DC, you are more than welcome to help celebrate the community this Saturday, August 28. Columbia Heights Day is bringing together residents and businesses for a day of fun festivities–food, live music, kids activities, games and contests, art, and more.
The festival begins at 10am and will feature events all day until closing time at 6pm. Guests can take part in a bike tour, scavenge hunt, or morning yoga; rock out to local bands; overdose on sugar in a cupcake eating contest; and enjoy loads of other activities. A special kids stage will feature entertainment just for little ones.
All of this will go down at Harriet Tubman Elementary School, located at 11th and Kenyon Streets NW. Visit the website for the complete schedule of events.
