Are you ready to do some back-to-school shopping? This weekend will be a good time to start. Virginia is taking a sales tax holiday starting tomorrow, August 6, through Sunday, August 8. During that time, all school supplies that is $20 or less per item and qualifying clothing and footwear that is $100 or less per item will be tax free!
The tax break will continue in DC’s other neighboring state during “Shop Maryland Week,” which will run from August 8 – 14. During that time all qualifying apparel and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will also be tax free.
