Family Jammin’

I’m probably not the first to tell you about Jammin’ Java, the music club and cafe in Vienna that presents live entertainment for both kids and adults almost every single day. Weekday mornings at 10:30am, little ones can catch some of their favorite performers on a regular basis: Monday/The Great Zucchini, Tuesday/Mr. Don, Wednesday/Rocknoceros, Thursday/Oh Susannah, Friday/Banjo Man.

And every now and then on the weekend, there’s a Saturday morning or afternoon show that both kids and parents can enjoy. Next up for families is The Asylum Street Spankers on July 31. The show (as well as their music) was recommended by a friend who is way hipper than me when it comes to music, so I trust that it’ll be a good one. If, like me, you hadn’t heard of them before, you can sample their sounds on their website. And if you like what you hear, consider booking a babysitter for that evening—they’ll be playing an adult show at Jammin’ Java as well.

Tickets for the morning show are $10 for all guests ages 1 and over. Tickets for the evening show are $17. Visit the Jammin’ Java website to purchase. For more upcoming performances, go here for kids events and here for adult shows.
