I always consider it a win when I discover an activity for my kids that combines something they love with something I think would be great for them to experience. Sometimes you need that bit of bait to reel them in, so you can introduce them to something new and hook their interest. Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, a unique video concert coming to Strathmore this winter, is one of those very activities.
The unique video concert combines the gaming phenomenon with the rich, dramatic sounds of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The audience views scenes from the actual video game as they enjoy the live music experience of the BSO playing along to the visuals.
If you have a Pokémon fan in your life, tickets to the show would make an excellent holiday gift! It would also make for a great family activity this winter.
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is the must-see video game concert of the year. All-new orchestral arrangements and carefully timed visuals draw from recent and classic Pokémon video games. Gamers of all ages will enjoy the rare opportunity to hear live renditions of the tunes that have soundtracked their favorite Pokémon hunting expeditions and battles through every generation of the beloved Nintendo series—starting with “Red” and “Green” from the original GameBoy and building up to “X” and “Y” for the 3DS. Cartoon fans are also in for a treat, as the performance includes an orchestral arrangement of the Pokémon television show theme song. Gotta hear ‘em all!
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions will be performed at Strathmore on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 7:30pm. Tickets are $49-89, and can be purchased online. You can also try to win a Family 4-Pack through the giveaway below!
