Sasha’s friend Gabe gets down at the disco
Baby Loves Disco, the dance party that welcomes the whole family to the club, has been hosting regular monthly events here in DC since last fall. And in a couple of weeks, they’re throwing in an extra one at a great venue in the nearby ‘burbs.
On March 29, tiny dancers (and their grown-ups) can hit the disco at the Fillmore in Silver Spring. Families with kids ages 6 months to 7 years are invited to shake those booties — and more! Along with the music and dancing led by a real DJ and lively MC, party-goers can score some balloon art, do crafts, get temp tattooed, and snack on munchies provided by BLD. And the bar is open for adults who want to imbibe.
The Fillmore event runs from 11am – 1:30pm. Tickets are $19. The Fillmore is located at 8656 Colesville Road in Silver Spring, Md.
Giveaway: Want a chance to win a Four-Pack of tickets to Baby Loves Disco? Simply leave a comment telling me which pop song gets your child on the dance floor. To be eligible to win, you must “like” KidFriendly DC on Facebook. The giveaway will run through the weekend, and a winner will be drawn at random and notified early next week. Good Luck!

My 2 year old loves to dance and sing to Fall Out Boy, My Songs Know What you did in the Dark!
For the past couple of years, whenever we hear Britney Spears “Till the World Ends” come on, my 4 year old will say, “Hey I know this song! Don’t you love this song, Mom?” And then he’ll belt out along with all the “oh oh ohs.” I sing that part aloud randomly so much now (it’s an easy song to get stuck in your head) that my 1 year old will start in with the “oh oh ohs!”
My 2- and 4-year-olds both love “Gangham Style.” Whoop ’em
