Swimming in sea of foam blocks at the PG Sport & Learning Complex
Tuesday – Catch a performance of Winne the Pooh, Adventure Theatre’s latest production for kids. We saw the show this past weekend – what a delight! Showtimes are 11am and 2pm (there is also a show on Friday). Tickets are $19.
Wednesday – Let the kids burn some energy at the PG Sports and Learning Complex. Soft mats, balance beams, trampolines, a rope swing and foam pit, and soft climbing apparatus will keep them busy for the duration of Open Play. The hour-long session begins at 11:30am (on Tuesdays, too). Admission is $6.
Thursday – See an amazing collection of model ships, peer into a real periscope, sit in the gun seats of old fighter planes, view naval artifacts hundreds of years old, and much more at the U.S. Navy Museum. Located on the Navy base in southeast DC, it’s a treasure trove of fascinating exhibits. Hours are 9am – 5pm. Admission is free.
Friday – Drop in for story time and other activities at your local library, or just go to check out books. See this post from the early KFDC days for a little background and quick links to libraries around the area.
