Five Things: March 19, 2024

1. Spring things to get excited about around DC!

2. The 32nd Annual DC Environmental Film Festival begins this Thursday, March 21, and runs through March 30.  The line-up includes special family programming this weekend: Puffin Rock and the New Friend will be screening at Woodridge and Anacostia Neighborhood Libaries this Saturday, and at The Benning/Dorothy I. Height Neighborhood Library on March 30. Admission is free. Be sure to check out the rest of the films — there are more that older kids can see, or you can catch them kid-free.

3. The Washington Spirit’s first home match of the season is this Saturday, March 23, at 7:30pm. Watch them play Bay FC to see some exciting soccer play and support women in sports. Tickets start at just $14.

4. Now that it’s spring, how about a new outdoor game?  These lawn darts look like a perfect family game…like bocce for kids, but fun for all ages.

5. Quite possibly the best comments on a single IG post ever!
