1. We enjoyed the “unofficial” last weekend of summer with a beach trip to Lewes, DE. Just a couple hours’ drive from DC (when there’s not traffic), it’s a great destination for a weekend getaway, a longer stay, or even a day trip. Remember, there are still some official weekends left of summer to take advantage of! 😎
2. Tudor Place, the historic house and gardens in Georgetown, is bringing back its program for young learners ages 18 moths to 4 years. Tutor Tots returns this Friday, September 10, with a “Back to School”-themed session. It runs 10-10:45am, and cost is $20/table for non-members, $15/table for members — and right now you can use the promo code “Fallfun21” for a 20% discount on your ticket purchase. (PS: Tudor place also offers self-guided tours of the house and gardens, so make time for that, too. Our whole family has enjoyed them, even when the kids were little!)
3. Eater’s 15 Hottest New Restaurants in DC, September 2021. (So happy to see La Collina in the mix — our new neighborhood fave!)
4. Some great recommendations for Reading, Watching, & Listening. (This prompted me to start Jhumpa Lahiri’s Whereabouts, and it’s confirmation of why she’s one of my favorite authors…such a beautiful, uniquely written book.)
5. Funny not funny?
Please correct the spelling of the author’s first and last name in this post. Thank you!!
Oh my gosh, not sure what happened there… I swear it was correct last I proofed. Thank you for pointing it out. Correct now. 🙂
The hyperlink for “beach trip to DE” goes to the New Yorker cartoon. If it was meant to link to something else, I’d love to see it as we’re interested in going there. Thanks!
Gah! Thanks for letting know. Corrected. 🙂
