1. You may have been to the Fort Dupont Ice rink in Southeast DC, but did you know there’s a park with great hiking and biking trails nearby? We went to Fort Dupont Park past weekend and enjoyed a nice nature break right in the city. We parked at the Fort Circle Park lot close to the Summer Theater (where seasonal entertainment is presented), then followed a paved path to a trail through the woods for an out and back about three miles total. Admission is free. (And for more local hikes, see this KFDC post — it’s a perfect day for one!)
2. It’s a good day to bring little ones to play at Clemyjontri, the sprawling playground in McLean. Hours are 7am – dusk. Admission is free.
3. 18 books that capture the spirit and essence of living in DC.
4. This Roasted Greek Salad is kind of like a healthier version of the very viral baked feta pasta. Some similar elements, plus more veggies and minus the carbs. We made it last week, and it was delicious!
5. WFH life.
