Five Things for Today: March 2, 2021

Will the bloom peak as predicted?

1. The cherry blossom peak bloom is predicted to occur April 2- 5 this year.  Keep in mind, those dates often change as we get further into March, and exactly how and where we’ll be able to enjoy them remains to be seen, but it’s exciting to start looking forward to DC’s iconic flowers!

2. Looking for a place to visit animals with kiddos?  Oxon Hill Farm near National Harbor is a great destination.  Roam the lovely grounds and see cows, chickens, pigs, horses, sheep and more.  Check out exhibits of old farm machinery and local history, too.  Hours are 8am – 4:30pm, and admission is free.

3. Ice Cream Jubilee wants to show appreciation for all their guests and fans with free scoops!  Sign up here, and they’ll email a BOGO single scoop coupon this week to use March 5-7.

4. I love when Cup of Jo posts about books.  Not only does she always have good recommendations, the comments are a trove of suggestions, too!

5. Get ready to smile with 10 Happy Things for March.  (Thank you, Darcy!)
