Five Things for Today: March 1, 2021

The stunning atrium of the Postal Museum

1. The National Postal Museum is still closed, but their weekly Story Time program is on, and it’s happening today.  Every Monday at 11am, join on Zoom for a live, interactive reading. It’s designed for children ages 3-6, but all are welcome.  Read more about the museum in this KFDC post — it’s one of my favorites of all the Smithsonians!

2.  Did you know that every school day at 4pm, DC Public Library presents Family Learning at the Library on their YouTube channel?  The programs for school-aged children, teens, and their families cover all kinds of topics, from STEAM to history to culture and more!

3.  I have really come to appreciate sheet pan cooking — everything on one pan, pop in the oven for a bit, then voila— dinner!  Find some yummy sounding recipes from NY Times Cooking and even more from epicurious.

4. If you like to laugh, watch Life in Pieces on Amazon Prime Video.  Trust me.

5. This was so moving.
