Five Things for Today: February 2, 2021

Snowball coming this way…

1. Happy Groundhog Day!   And a recommendation to watch one of the most clever movies ever made…AGAIN.

2.  Tomorrow, February 3, celebrate the final day of skating at Color Burst Ice Rink in Columbia, MD, with a family-friendly event honoring the birthday of poet and Busboys and Poets namesake, Langston Hughes. Poetry on Ice will feature live music, spoken word performances, a pop-up bookstore, prizes and more. It starts at 4pm, and skating admission is $7.

3. February is Black History Month, and there’s a brand new post with all kinds of ways to celebrate through February — and beyond.

4. An all-new, (always) awesome 10 Happy Things for February from Darcy with recs for things to read, cook, do, and generally make you smile.
