Yards Park is a great waterfront spot for socially distanced hanging out

1. Join Leesburg Animal Park for a Fishing Derby today from 11am – 3pm. Of course, you can visit the animals, too. The rest of the park is open 10am – 5pm (Wednesday – Sunday), and admission is $15/adult, $13/ages2-12.

I loved looking at the pictures and reading the info for the “round-up of waterfront spaces around DC”, however, there are no addresses or directions for any of them. I’d like to go see the Chain Bridge Flats, which mentions nearby parking and a path to walk on, but where are they? I did a search, think I found a map of a parking area off Clara Barton pkwy, but directions to it are sketchy, and I’m not sure this is the close parking area referred to in the article. Plus, once parked, where do we walk? Is the trail easy to find? Do we walk left or right on the trail to get to the flats in the picture?

Then I went onto the next article about Gerogetown, again no reference to an address so we can find it. Can you help? Maybe I should send an email to the author of the article?

    Thanks,
    Theresa

Hi Theresa – I wasn’t aware of the Flats and don’t have an address for them either – sorry! I’d try contacting the author of the article.
