Five Things for Today: May 22, 2020

A seafood feast for the weekend

1. Washingtonian Magazine has some fun ideas for Memorial Day Weekend activities at home.

2. Plan for some holiday weekend eats! For Mother’s Day, we ordered the Cajun Seafood Feast from Chasin’ Tails in Falls Church, and it would be a perfect meal for the unofficial start of summer. You order it through Happy Endings Eatery (yes, the name made us chuckle, too) and they have a few other options for seafood boils. If that’s not your thing, find a round-up of more Memorial Day Weekend restaurant specials here.

3. Campgrounds are now open in Virginia State Parks, and you can make reservations for camping through June 10. Browse the parks here.

4. The Capitol Riverfront BID shared their favorite NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, and it’s a pretty awesome mix. Explore and enjoy even more little music sessions here.

5. Makes me bawl every damn time.
