NOTE: This giveaway has ended.
If I had to name my favorite of all the TV shows my kids have watched, it would probably be Yo Gabba Gabba. It’s cute, creative, and clever, with nice overarching themes like friendship, dress up, love, and trains. The main characters are some of most endearing monsters ever. And how can you not love a kids show whose guests have included Jack Black, Tony Hawk, Sarah Silverman, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Anthony Bourdain? And with musical performances by The Roots, The Shins, MGMT, and Weezer among many other great bands? (Yeah, it’s a winner, in my book.)
This is why I am more than happy to promote Yo Gabba Gabba! Live!: Get the Sillies Out. The show is coming to the Patriot Center for one performance on Friday, February 1 at 7pm. And I’ve got a Family Four-Pack of tickets to give away to one lucky winner.
First, here’s the official description of the show:
The sillies are crazy little creatures that live inside of us and need to be shaken out! DJ Lance Rock and everyone’s favorite cast of colorful characters are calling all fans to get ready to jump, shake and shimmy them out at the new live tour Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get the Sillies Out!. The tour will visit more than 50 cities across the U.S. in 2013. Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! is touring in support of their first national beverage launch, a new line of toys, a new line of kids sportswear and a DVD/CD collectors’ edition.
Tickets start at $28. VIP Party packages are available as well and include a ticket in the first 15 rows, a pass to “Get the Sillies Out” in the private VIP room featuring a super fun party with the Gabba Gang (costumed characters), and more. Children under 1 year old do not require a paid ticket to sit on a parent’s lap. And if you can’t make it to the show on Friday night, you have a chance to catch it in Baltimore on Saturday, February 2.
Goldstar currently has a deal on select seats for the Patriot Center show, so be sure to check there first for a discount.
GIVEAWAY: To enter for a chance to win a Family Four-Pack of tickets to Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get the Sillies Out!, leave a comment below telling me your kids’ (or your) favorite YGG moment. To be eligible, you must like KidFriendly DC on Facebook and follow on Twitter (let me know that you did). The giveaway will run through the weekend, and a winner will be announced on Monday, January 28. Good luck!
We LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba when they sing the birthday song with the Ting Tings!!
My son (now 3) has been completely enamored with two of the musical performances on Yo Gabba Gabba: The Roots performing Lovely Love my Family and The Aqua Bats performing Pool Party. I think we listened to Lovely Love my Family at least once a day for an entire year. Can’t say that I really tired of it myself. It’s a great song.
There’s a party in my tummy is sung almost every night before dinner at our house!
We love to dance to the I love dance Song!!!
Already like KidFriendly DC on FB.
Hi! My son’s favorite is to sing “nap time” with me when he goes to bed! (I also already like you on Facebook and follow you on Twitter!)
Already follow KidFriendly DC on Twitter.
There are but so many ways we love Yo Gabba Gabba! Our favorite episode is “Space”. Mommy and Daddy may wake up singing “rocket ride” … and space play rules our house!
My son always has party going on in his tummy, carrots and green beans in atttendance of course! Already like you on FB 🙂
We sing ‘there is a party in my tummy’ almost daily.
Also, I both like on FB and follow on Twitter. Thanks!
our whole family loves mimiking “biz beats!” –
Love the crossover with the Fresh Beat Band when they do get the sillys out with go bananas and would love to see the show! Thanks.
My daughter (4 y.o.) loves the Tings Tings’ birthday song she heard on Yo Gabba Gabba so much that she regularly uses the melody to announce her activities: “Going potty! Going potty!” and “Eating lunch! Eating lunch!” and so on and so on. It’s a riot.
My kids love when they see real kids singing and dancing! The enjoy copying and mimicking them
I would love to win the tickets to see YGG live. My 18 months toddler would love it. He loves dancing to the Party in My Tummy song 🙂

There’s a party in my tummy is always fun! I already like you on facebook!
I am in the military and love watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my 4 year old…we love to sing and dance on the weekends with DJ Lance…especially when there is a Party in my Tummy….OH YEA!!!!
I liked on Facebook and Twitter!!!
My fav YGG moment was the entire episode with Jack Black, I (even as an adult) could watch that over and over and over again. Hysterical! On an average episode basis my fav moment is when it’s “time to dance!”
My son LOVES the Train episode. We must have watched it 50 times! He likes to make his own train after we watch it.
My 23 month old daughter, EJ absolutely loves Yo Gabba Gabba, and has even rekindled her 7-yr old sister, Marianna’s interest in the show. EJ sings along to many of the songs to include, wiggle-wiggle-baby-tooth-wiggle-wiggle-fall-out, and her favorite is anytime she feels excited about her food, she baby squeals, “there’s a party in my tummy, so yummy so yummy.” It’s precious. We sing and dance all the time in our house thanks to the sheer genius awesomeness of yo gabba gabba.
My daughter loves the show every time we turn on nextflix she says “gaba gaba”. Her favorite song and she repeats it over and over again is “wiggle wiggle go, hold still” we go for walks and we sing that song wiggle.
I have two kids they both love yo gabba gabba. Edna my two year old loves the biz markie segment and my son james jr loves the last segment song. I follow you on twitter also @mamabearbb hopefully we get the tickets. Thank you for the opportunity!!
Aw, my kids would love this! I like you on FB!
The favorite in our house is try it you’ll like it. My girls say it to each other whenever we have a new food. I already liked you on facebook
LOVE YYG! We start our dance parties with “My name is ______, and I like to DANCE!”. We also rock out to the Pandora station quite often. 🙂
Our almost two year old and three year old adore yo gabba gabba! They love each of the characters the same. Every single night it is a struggle to get our youngest to eat her dinner. You know the toddler game – throw it on the floor repeatedly, swat it off the plate, rub it into the carpet, drip milk down the front of her. Well to get her and her big sis to start eating at dinner we all sing Yo Gabba Gabba’s eat song and watch the food in their bellies dance at ‘the party in their tummy’!!! It’s hilarious to see them wiggle in their seats and now enjoy eating dinner.
They would just die if we won. I recently lost my job and my husband dad is on hospice about to pass away. What a joy this would bring us.
I follow you every single week on your blog, Facebook & twitter and always end up doing something you have recommended. You are my go to now that I am a stay at home mom. Thank you for all te great information!

My daughter (3 years old) LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba. She sleeps with her Foofa doll every night. She sings all the songs and we listen to the cd’s in the car on the way to school. She would love to see Foofa in person!
My son sings the “Pick up the Trash” song every time we clean. (I also follow you on Twitter and like you on Facebook.)
My daughter, Tamara, loves Yo Gabba Gabba! Whenever they start singing the I love to dance song she comes to me and say: “c’mon mommy, let’s dance!” 🙂
She would go bananas if she sees them live! She loves Foufa! (Spelling?)
Thanks for doing wonderful service to DC area parents/kids about the activities in and around. I liked you in facebook for over a year now.
I love to get tickets. Thanks!
Many have already mentioned the recurring “Party in My Tummy” (so yummy, so yummy yummy!), so I’ll also mention my kids’ favorite dance is the “Peanut Butter Stomp”, and they love so many episodes but especially the one where Foofa and Toodee build a bigger, better clubhouse than Muno and Brobee, but then welcome them (so Brobee and Muno learn it’s not nice to exclude your friends). And the Aquabats “Pool Party” scared my daughter at first but now it’s one of her favorite songs/performances!
Oh oh, forgot this: even more ever-present than “Party in my tummy” is from the episode where Muno learns it’s not nice to bite your friends. “Don’t, don’t, don’t bite your friends!” has spun off into an adaptable refrain, applicable to many daily things. “Yell yell yell? No no no!” “Nice nice nice? Yes yes yes!” 🙂
My son taught himself to balance a spoon on his nose like the boy on “Cool Tricks”. We also love to dance around to all the songs. And I love watching my son dance to some of my favorite bands, especially Devo.
We taught my daughter about baby teeth falling out from the commercial/song where Yo Gabba Gabba talks about it. Now she understands that this is normal and she’s not so scared of it! She also of course loves “Let’s Get the Sillies Out” and dances up a storm whenever that song comes on. It’s the cutest thing.
My 5 year old daughter and 11 month old son love Gabba! They love to dance! 🙂 Their favorite Gabba song is Bubbles and favorite episode is New Friends with Jack Black. We recently moved to the area and I “like” your page on FB – it’s been really helpful to us!
Is there any better moment than PARTY IN MY TUMMY?!?!! It makes regular appearances at the dinner table of course.
I like you on FB.
My favorite Yo Gabba Gabba moment is when our son watches his favorite episode {The one where it is Brobee’s birthday!} and thinks it is about him because his name is B-R-O-D-Y. Haha they sound so similar!
I ‘LIKED’ You on FB!
Followed on Twitter! @Modernisticmom
My son is the biggest fan since he was a baby. He’s 4 now. We have toys , CDs , DVDs and even a plex costume which he wore for 2 years . Love it lol now he’s more into the music.
They love to sing, “there’s a party in my tummy” or the song about eating sandwiches because they too love sandwiches!
My kids love the goodbye song!
I can not say enough about the song “Party in my Tummy”. We sing that song every night at dinner. My son is always trying to look at my tummy to see if he can see the food.
First off, I would just like to say your blog is great and really helped my family and I when we got stationed in DC. We first discovered Yo Gabba Gabba when we moved here from Germany. One of my favorite moments, and in fact, one of my favorite memories, is when my husband, daughter and I jumped around to “Let’s dance!” Our furniture had not yet arrived, so we had plenty of space to really boogie. So many of the Yo Gabba Gabba songs make Alexis break out into those cute giggles that I just love to hear! Thanks again! 🙂
Follow you on FB and Twitter as well!
Isa loves the family episode in which they sing about family. My favorite is the episode when muno gets glasses and says razzel dazzle I can see better!
My favorite part is that YGG gives each show a simple name for the episode’s theme. I tape a few episodes at a time and it makes it easy for my 3-year old daughter to choose what topic she’s interested in that day to watch. I love that she can surprise me with what she chooses and what we can explore learning about that day. That…and lots of dancing!
My daughter Ella loves the “Circus” episode. She sings the “circus parade song” all the time. There was an awkward moment when she said “what’s up clown” (another part of another song in the episode) to her grandma.
My son Jayden and I love Yo Gabba Gabba. We watch the show all the time, and love the music from it. We also enjoy the important lessons the show teach, ie. don’t bite your friends, and wait in line, and there’s a party in my tummy.. (my personal fave) we even have one of the cds and I put it in the morning sometimes to motivate my new kindergartener out of bed. The Freeze game is one of our favorite songs/games. Love Love Love YOOOOOO Gabba Gabba!!!
My daughter loves when they ride on a train. 🙂
And I follow you on FB.
My daughter’s both love the “There’s a Party in my Tummy” and “Pool Party” songs. Whenever it comes on my iPod they both immediately start dancing.
…and I follow you both on FB and Twitter.
my daughter, husband and I love to dance!!!!! Follower on fb and now twitter
We LOVE “I like bugs!” . Once it starts it doesn’t stop!!
Wiggle, wiggle back and forth. Wiggle, wiggle baby teeth. Or toes, or bums, or noses. Also liked you on FB.
We have just recently started to watch YGG and love it all!
My son loves singing the theme song and yelling YGG!
Would love to get this! I already follow you on Facebook! Thanks for the reminder on the Portrait Gallery, great museum!
My 3 1/2-year-old son decided to lecture all the trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood last Halloween that “too much candy is gonna make you sick!” Figures his 2-year-old little sister got more candy than he did. Both kids go NUTS whenever the show comes on!
Liked kfdc on Facebook!
We love to watch Yo Gabba Gabba! All my 4 kids, ages 2-7, are HUGE fans!:) I dont know a favorite moment coz all our YGG moments are great. We, and yes I said “we”, know all the songs and sing along whenever it’s on. WE would love to win this and possibly just purchase 2 more tickets for our family of six. It is my eldest daughter’s birthday on Thursday, and my 3rd child’s birthday a week later. This will be very special way to celebrate their birthdays.
Thank you so much for all you do!
Following you on Facebook.
My 1 1/2 year loves the hard to find Jack Black episode (New Friends). When Jack teaches the gabba gang his dancey dance, the disco roll, my son goes crazy. Dances to it every time. It’s the only dance he can actually do. Good times!! Thanks.
