It’s never a bad thing when we can throw a little learning into our kids’ entertainment. Jammin’ Java is providing an opportunity to do just when they present Ryan Buckle & Friends this coming Saturday, January 22. At 10:30am, the group will perform “Science You Can Sing To,” a show that combines great music with amazing science experiments to inspire curious kids.
Ryan Buckle will sing and play songs from the band’s CD Swamp Stomp Boogie. The music highlights discoveries kids can make at the zoo, sparking them to ask questions like: Ever wonder how birds can fly? What shadows are? Where crocodiles live?
The show also features Zelda the Zookeeper, who performs awesome experiments that amaze kids of all ages — floating smoke rings, gigantic bubbles, a circle of electricity, an alka seltzer rocket, bubble showers, and more are all part of her fascinating act.
The show’s running time is about 45 minutes and will be accompanied by hands-on science stations that entertain and educate kids before and after the show.
Tickets are $8 for everyone age 1 and older and can be purchased through the Jammin’ Java website. The venue is located at 227 Maple Avenue East in Vienna.
