Five Things for Today: September 27, 2020

Seen on a recent neighborhood walk

1. Live entertainment is returning to DC…  Mayor Bowser announced a pilot allowing a limited number of venues to host in person shows. They will take place in a controlled environment that city officials can learn from for future guidance. City Winery, GALA Hispanic Theatre, Pearl Street Warehouse, The Kennedy Center, The Hamilton, and Union Stage are the venues invited to participate in this pilot . Follow t he link to see what’s coming to their stages.

2. Washingtonian has recommendations for some Virginia wine country brunches worth a (gorgeous) drive.

3.  Park Up DC only has one more weekend of drive-in movies on the schedule, so it’s not a bad idea to snag tickets now if you plan to go.  Before you do, check CertifiKid for a deal. Coco, Anchorman, and Dead Presidents are the options for next Thursday – Sunday.

4. Hispanic Heritage Month runs through October 15… here are some best selling Hispanic and Latino books for children.

5. March 2020 vs. Now  😂😭
