Five Things for Today: July 25, 2020

We can’t yet return to the Library of Congress, but it’s still bringing us wonderful things

Today’s 5 things are sponsored by Adventure Theatre

1. The Historical Society of Washington, DC, is documenting this time with the help of you. In Real Time invites residents to reflect on this present moment and submit first-person narratives (with prompts), photos, materials, and more preservations of now. They also have a fun DC Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt that you can do in anywhere in the District!

2. DCist recently published a great round-up of 11 drive-in movie series taking place around the DC area this summer.

3. Unsurprising, but still sad news. And absolutely the right thing to do.

4. The author lineup of the annual Library of Congress National Book Festival, which will be virtual this year, has been announced, and as usual it is stellar! (PS: More from the Library… you can also explore exhibits online.)

5. In case you haven’t seen it yet, a must-watch — and an important listen. Go, AOC.
