Giveaway: “Creole for Kidz” is coming to BlackRock Center for the Arts!

Terrance Simien is bringing the history of the French speaking Creoles of South Louisiana to BlackRock Center for the Arts! With music featured in Disney’s Princess & The Frog, Creole for Kidz reaches family audiences all over the world with unique zydeco music — and you have a chance to win a Family 4-Pack of tickets to experience it!

Presented at performing arts centers, schools, and festivals around the nation, Creole for Kidz & The History of Zydeco has reached nearly 500,000 students and family audiences since its debut in 2000. Offering extensive knowledge of zydeco roots music and the tradition that surrounds it, Simien’s program has been a catalyst behind building a more culturally literate young performing arts patron. Thanks to his groundbreaking Creole for Kidz, Simien has received a number of awards, grants, and recognition for his work and artistic contributions. His work over nearly two decades has helped him in becoming a respected Cultural Ambassador for his state and his country.

BlackRock Center for the Art in Gaithersburg, MD, will present Creole for Kidz on November 9 at 10am and November 10 at 1pm. Tickets are $12-15 and available for purchase online. You can also try to win them through the giveaway below!

This post is sponsored by BlackRock Center for the Arts, however, I only promote programs, places, and events that I genuinely believe in and think will appeal to KFDC readers.
