Calling all Francophiles! If you want to introduce your child to French culture and history, this weekend will be a good time to do it. From July 10-11, Hillwood Estate, Museum, & Gardens will transform into 18th century France for their annual French Festival. There will be dancing, music, theatrics, games, and more for the whole family. The New York Baroque Dance Company and Concert Royal will entertain and engage guests with performances in the gardens. Kids can participate in games that French children played hundreds of years ago, create and wear French beauty patches, and decorate mini wooden chests of drawers inspired by French furniture designs. See the website for the complete schedule. The event takes place on Saturday 10am – 7pm and on Sunday 1pm – 5pm. Admission is $18/person, $12 for Hillwood and Alliance Française members, $7 for students, $5 for children ages 6-18, free for children under 6.
